General Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Cycling Marathon

1. By registering, the applicant confirms the accuracy of the entered data and agrees to the event’s terms and conditions and the cycling marathon’s competition rules. They declare that they are healthy, adequately prepared, and participate in the event at their own risk. They will follow all organizer instructions and will not pursue any claims for damages.

2. Participation is only possible with timely registration and payment of the entry fee. The marathon is exclusively recreational in nature; all participants ride at their own risk in road traffic and must respect traffic regulations and the instructions of organizers, police, and marshals.

3. Children under 16 years of age require written consent from a parent or legal guardian, or accompaniment by an organized group in accordance with applicable law. Children ride accompanied by an adult in a 1:1 ratio, with full responsibility resting on the parents or legal guardian, even if they are not present at the event.

4. The organizer is not responsible for any potential damage, consequences of a participant’s unpreparedness, use of an unsuitable bicycle, non-compliance with traffic regulations or organizer instructions, nor for committed offenses, theft, or damage caused by participants to themselves or third parties.

5. All participants must ensure their own safety and the safety of other participants and visitors. Maintaining an appropriate distance between cyclists is recommended, especially on descents. Helmets are mandatory for all participants.

6. The organizer reserves the right to change the event’s content even after registration and payment of the entry fee. Participants are not entitled to a refund of the entry fee in case of changes to the route, program, gift package, or bad weather, as the event will take place regardless of weather conditions. An exception applies to objective circumstances due to which the event would not be held; in such a case, a refund of the entry fee or transfer to the following year is possible.

7. Organizers have the right to exclude any participant who violates the rules or poses a danger to others.

8. Rescue and support vehicles will be present at the start, finish, and along the entire marathon route.
